It was the portfolio I have prepared when I was applying for a Masters of Landscape Architecture (I was not accepted
to the school eventually, since the projects were conceptual and peripheral in its contents. )
THE HARD COVER
The purpose of the cover page was to communicate the idea of how I think of the definition of Landscape design,
which is everything outside a window or door. I, therefore, handcrafted a box to contain the book, which the box itself
is the hardcover, having a window on it, revealing the flowers (symbolising nature) inside the box. The act of opening
the cover is like opening the door. I hoped the viewer would immerse in the world that I created when reading the book.
Out of the few projects that I have featured in my portfolio, I have conducted two self-initiated projects, both exploring
the relationship between human and space, particularly the exterior surroundings. Through an interaction, we acquire
parts of the foreign world and make them parts of ourselves, and at the same time, we transform the exterior world
and the people we meet. Public space is where it catalyses these reactions, facilitates mutual influence and create
millions of opportunities where people change and define their new self. Please feel free to download if you are
